Richard M. Kepple:
I was raised in a denominational Church but I didn’t know what it meant to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I gave my life to the Lord in 1987 after listening to a Christian radio station and hearing God say, “It is time for you to live your life for Me now.” After that encounter with the Lord, I could no longer say “no” to God and suddenly everything in the Bible made sense to me and came alive in my spirit. I found so much joy in saying “yes” to God, and had a renewed purpose because He chose ME to help Him do His work. Since becoming a Christian I have been a Nazarene, a Baptist and am presently a Presbyterian, however my only true goal, is to be a sold-out follower of Jesus Christ and serve Him using my training, gifts and talents.
I have six children between my wife and I who grew up as a pastor’s kid. She is my rock and I feel so blessed to be married to such a spirit-filled woman. Together we have been in Children’s ministries for twenty-five years. On Sundays, I co-teach third graders and on Wednesday nights I support my wife as she teaches a class called “The Deep” in which I help other volunteers show 25-30 fourth and fifth grade boys and girls, how much God loves them and how to go “deeper” in their faith.
My prayer is to use my training as a Marriage and Family Therapist and background working with incarcerated youth, to focus my practice on working with individuals and families in crisis, and to provide therapeutic services to trauma victims, including missionaries serving in third world countries.
